Target Information

AhR, ARNT1, ARNT2, and BMAL1 are transcription factors containing a basic helix-loop-helix motif and a common PAS motif.
AhR acts as a ligand-dependent transcription factor that binds xenobiotic responsive elements (XREs) to activate genes including CYP1A1, glutathione S-transferase Ya subunit, and DT-diaphorase.
Arnt1 and Arnt2 are required for ligand-dependent nuclear translocation of the Ah receptor and its binding to the XRE element.
BMAL1 (also known as Arnt3, TIC, JAP3, or MOP-3) dimerizes with Clock and binds the promoter region of mPer1, suggesting its role in circadian rhythm regulation in mammals.
