Target Information

Arginyl-tRNA synthetase (ArgRS), also known as RARS or DALRD1, is a class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase responsible for catalyzing the aminoacylation of tRNA(Arg) with arginine in the presence of ATP. It localizes to the cytoplasm and functions as a monomer or as part of a multisubunit complex with other tRNA synthetases. Two cytoplasmic forms exist in mammals, differing by a 73 amino acid extension required for complex assembly.
