Target Information
The HSP70 family includes four highly conserved proteins: HSP70, HSC70, GRP75, and GRP78. These proteins play various roles in protein folding and translocation. GRP75 is localized in the mitochondrial matrix and assists in the translocation and folding of nascent polypeptides from both nuclear and mitochondrial origins. GRP75 and GRP78 are not responsive to heat stress and are induced by glucose deprivation.
