Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Wnt family members (Wnt-1, Wnt-3a, Wnt-4, Wnt-5a, Wnt-5b, Wnt-9a, Wnt-11, Wnt-16) is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Wnt proteins are secreted glycoproteins involved in signal transduction pathways regulating tissue homeostasis, cell fate, proliferation, and self-renewal.
Canonical Wnt signaling is initiated via binding to Frizzled and LRP5/6 receptors, activating the β-catenin cascade.
Non-canonical Wnt signaling involves Frizzled and ROR2 receptors.
Deregulation of these pathways is associated with cancer.
Human Wnt-1 is a 370 amino acid precursor cleaved into a 343 amino acid mature form (42 kDa), sharing ~99% identity with mouse Wnt-1.
Wnt-1 signaling contributes to embryonic development, carcinogenesis, and c-Myb phosphorylation and degradation.
