Stathmin 1은 stathmin 유전자 계열에 속하며, 세포질 내 인산화 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 세포 내 신호 조절을 통합하는 역할을 하며, 미세소관(microtubule) 시스템의 조절에 관여합니다. 미세소관의 불안정화를 유도하여 조립을 억제하고 해체를 촉진합니다. 다양한 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 서로 다른 isoform을 생성합니다.
