Target Information
PLD6는 미토콘드리아 외막에 존재하는 cardiolipin hydrolase로, 미토콘드리아 융합과 piRNA 대사 과정에 필수적입니다. Cardiolipin을 phosphatidate로 가수분해하여 미토콘드리아 융합을 촉진하며, piRNA 대사 과정에서 meiotic nuage(P granule) 구성 요소의 활성화를 유도합니다. 또한, 정자 형성 과정에서 전이 요소 억제 및 piRNA-Piwi 복합체 형성을 통해 유전적 안정성을 유지하는 역할을 합니다.
