Target Information
Clathrin coat assembly protein AP180 is encoded by the SNAP91 gene in humans. Adaptins are components of adapter complexes that link clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. Clathrin-associated protein complexes interact with cytoplasmic tails of membrane proteins, facilitating their selection and concentration. AP180 binding to clathrin triskelia induces assembly into 60–70 nm coats.
