Interleukin 15 receptor alpha (IL-15RA)는 IL-15에 높은 친화도로 결합하는 사이토카인 수용체입니다. IL-15는 T세포 및 자연살해세포(NK cell)의 활성화와 증식을 조절합니다. IL-15와 IL-2 수용체는 IL-2Rβ 및 IL-2Rγ 두 서브유닛을 공유하며, IL-15RA는 IL-2RA와 구조적으로 유사하지만 다른 서브유닛 없이도 IL-15에 높은 친화도로 결합할 수 있습니다. IL-15RA는 세포 증식 및 항아포토시스 단백질(Bcl-xL, Bcl-2)의 발현을 촉진하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
