JWA 단백질의 발현은 비타민 A에 의해 영향을 받으며, 세포골격과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
Rat에서 JWA와 유사한 단백질은 세포막 글루탐산 수송체 EAAC1을 억제함으로써 세포 분화를 조절하는 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
Rat 유전자의 발현은 레티노산에 의해 상향 조절되어 EAAC1 매개 글루탐산 수송을 감소시킵니다.
