Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
In humans, ZIM2 and PEG3 (GeneID:5178) are distinct genes sharing a set of 5’ exons and a common promoter, both paternally expressed.
Alternative splicing connects shared exons with unique exons specific to each gene — 4 for ZIM2 and 2 for PEG3.
This configuration differs in mouse and cow, where ZIM2 and PEG3 do not share exons, and ZIM2 imprinting is not conserved among mammals.
Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding the same protein have been identified for the human ZIM2 gene.
