이 단백질은 혈관 평활근세포 증식 조절에 관여하며, 비만의 병태생리에 관련될 수 있습니다.
MFN2 유전자 변이는 Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2A2 및 hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy VI를 유발하며, 이는 말초신경계 장애입니다.
