The MA1-7367 antibody reacts with Hepatitis C Virus E2 protein and is positive against genotypes 1a and 1b.
It has been successfully used in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Western blot applications.
This antibody was raised against the HCV E2 protein.
Target Information
Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) is a positive, single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the Flaviviridae family.
Its genome (~10,000 nucleotides) encodes a single polyprotein (~3,000 amino acids) that is processed into structural and non-structural proteins essential for viral replication.
Different genotypes of HCV correlate with variations in interferon alpha treatment response.
The E1 protein forms a heterodimer with the E2 envelope glycoprotein, both critical for viral entry.
