Antibody detects endogenous levels of IRAK1 only when phosphorylated at Thr387.
Target Information
IL-1 receptor associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in signaling via Toll/IL-1 pathways. IRAK1 is rapidly recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex upon TLR activation. Its association with MYD88 leads to IRAK1 phosphorylation by IRAK4, followed by autophosphorylation and activation. IRAK1 can also phosphorylate TIRAP to promote ubiquitination and degradation, and phosphorylates IRF7 to induce activation and nuclear translocation. This results in transcriptional activation of type I IFN genes, promoting an antiviral state.
