Target Information
DRP1 (Dynamin-related protein 1)은 포유류 세포에서 미토콘드리아 분열에 관여하는 단백질로, 정상 상태 및 세포사멸(apoptosis) 과정에서 미토콘드리아 절단을 조절합니다. DRP1은 세포 내 미토콘드리아의 적절한 분포에 필수적이며, 변이 뉴런에서는 시냅스 부근에서 미토콘드리아가 거의 존재하지 않습니다. 이는 시냅스 내 미토콘드리아의 역할을 연구하는 데 유용한 유전학적 도구로 활용됩니다.
