Target Information
STT3B는 올리고사카라이드 트랜스퍼라제(OST) 복합체의 촉매 서브유닛으로, 단백질 N-글리코실화의 초기 단계를 담당합니다. 이 효소는 돌리콜-피로인산 운반체로부터 글리칸을 nascent 폴리펩타이드의 Asn-X-Ser/Thr 모티프에 전달하며, ER 막의 Sec61 복합체와 결합하여 단백질 전위를 매개합니다.
STT3B는 일부 OST 복합체에 존재하며, 공번역 및 번역 후 N-글리코실화를 모두 수행합니다. 특히 번역 후 당화가 필요한 단백질에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 미접근 부위의 당화 및 접힘이 잘못된 단백질의 ERAD 경로를 통한 분해 과정에도 관여합니다. 또한, STT3B는 아밀로이드 변형 TTR의 Asp-38 변이체를 Asn-118 위치에서 당화시켜 분해를 유도합니다.
