Target Information
PCNA (polymerase delta auxiliary protein)는 DNA 복제에 필수적이며, DNA excision 및 mismatch repair 경로에 관여합니다.
CDK inhibitor p21, endonuclease Fen1 및 XPG, DNA cytosine 5-methyltransferase(MCMT)와 결합합니다.
PCNA는 세포 증식 능력을 가진 세포의 마커로 유용하며, 종양 조직의 증식 상태를 평가하는 데 활용됩니다.
세포 주기 초기 G1 및 S phase에서 발현되며, 핵 내에서 DNA polymerase delta의 cofactor로 작용합니다.
DNA 손상 시 ubiquitination을 통해 RAD6 의존성 DNA repair pathway에 관여합니다.
PCNA는 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 두 가지 transcript variant를 가지며, chromosome 4 및 X chromosome에 pseudogene이 보고되었습니다.
