Target Information
P-selectin (Selectin P, GMP-140, LECAM3, CD62 antigen-like family member)은 140 kDa의 type I transmembrane glycoprotein으로, 세포 rolling을 조절하는 대표적인 단백질 중 하나입니다.
이 단백질은 내피세포의 Weibel-Palade bodies와 혈소판의 α-granules에 저장되어 있으며, thrombin, histamine, complement 5a, Ca²⁺ ionophores, 또는 adenosine diphosphate에 노출되면 빠르게 세포 표면으로 이동합니다.
P-selectin은 활성화된 혈소판 및 내피세포가 백혈구와 상호작용하는 접착 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하며, sialylated Lewis 혈액형 탄수화물 항원을 인식하는 칼슘 의존적 수용체입니다.
염증 반응에서 지속적으로 발현되며, 동맥경화, 혈전증, 조직 손상 등의 병리적 과정에 관여합니다.
임상적으로는 혈전증이 동반된 헤파린 유도 혈소판감소증(heparin-induced thrombocytopenia)의 감별에 활용됩니다.
