Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Ferritin is a ubiquitous and highly conserved protein involved in iron homeostasis. It forms a holoenzyme shell (~450 kDa) composed of 24 subunits (H and L types) capable of storing up to 4,500 ferric iron atoms. The H:L ratio varies by tissue and physiological state. Ferritin functions in iron regulation and cellular defense against stress and inflammation, and is found mainly in liver, spleen, kidney, and heart, with small amounts in blood. Blood ferritin levels indicate total body iron storage.
