Target Information
BRCC45는 처음에 뇌 및 생식 기관에서 높은 발현을 보이는 하우스키핑 단백질로 제안되었습니다. 이후 연구에서 BRCC45가 BRCA1, BRCA2, RAD51, BRCC36과 복합체를 형성하며, 이 복합체는 유비퀴틴 E3 리가아제 활성을 가지고 DNA 손상 후 세포 생존을 촉진하는 것으로 알려졌습니다. 또한 BRCC45는 BID 유도 미토콘드리아 세포사멸 경로를 억제하여 항세포사멸 단백질로 작용할 수 있습니다. 간세포암종에서 BRCC45의 발현이 증가되어 종양 형성에 관여할 가능성이 제시되었습니다. 최소 세 가지 isoform이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
