Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.

Target Information

MYADM, belonging to the MAL family, is a 322-amino acid protein having seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains, potential phosphorylation sites, and sequence homology with the T-cell differentiation protein MAL and plasmolipin.
It shares 75.8% sequence identity with mouse in the transmembrane regions and is associated with differentiation of hematopoietic or acute promyelocytic leukemia cells.
Expression is up-regulated in NB4 cells induced by all-trans retinoic acid, while down-regulation inhibits colony formation of bone marrow cells.
MYADM serves as a potential marker for hematopoietic differentiation and may be used for diagnostic, prognostic, or therapeutic studies.
It is expressed widely in brain and pancreatic islet cells.
