The Human Stem Cell Renewal Package contains the key components required to maintain pluripotency and enable self-renewal of iPSCs in cell culture.

The package contains the following two vials:

• 100 μg Human FGF-Basic (Cat. No. 100-18B-100UG)
• 100 μg Human BMP-4 (Cat. No. 120-05ET-100UG)

FGF-Basic (FGF2, FGFb, fibroblast growth factor) belongs to the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family and interacts with high-affinity transmembrane receptors to influence cell proliferation and tissue neovascularization. FGF-Basic has been implicated in diverse biological processes, such as limb and nervous system development, wound healing, and tumor growth.

BMP-4 is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein family which is part of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily. The superfamily includes large families of growth and differentiation factors.
