Its N-terminal half contains a RNA recognition motif, and the C-terminal half is rich in Arg/Asp and Arg/Glu dipeptides — features typical of various splicing factors.
This gene is differentially expressed in multiple human tissues.
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, differing in the 5′ sequence regions.
