Target Information
TCP-1 beta는 chaperonin containing TCP1 complex (CCT) 또는 TCP1 ring complex (TRiC)의 구성원으로, 단백질 접힘에 관여하는 분자 샤페론입니다.
CCT 복합체는 8종의 서로 다른 단백질로 이루어진 두 개의 동일한 고리로 구성되어 있으며, ATP 의존적 방식으로 폴리펩타이드를 접히게 합니다.
이 복합체는 actin 및 tubulin과 같은 단백질의 접힘에 관여합니다. TCP-1 beta 유전자의 전사 스플라이스 변이체가 보고되었으나 완전히 특성화되지는 않았습니다.
TCP-1 beta 단백질 기능 이상과 관련된 질환으로는 epididymo-orchitis가 알려져 있습니다.
