RBBP7은 세포핵에 널리 발현되는 WD-repeat 단백질 아단위로, 세포 증식을 조절하는 retinoblastoma 단백질과 직접 결합하는 여러 단백질 복합체에 포함되어 있습니다. 이 단백질은 mSin3 공동억제 복합체를 포함한 다양한 histone deacetylase 복합체에 존재하며, 염색질 조립에 관여하는 단백질 복합체에서도 발견됩니다. 또한 BRCA1 종양 억제 유전자와 상호작용할 수 있으며, 세포 증식 및 분화 조절에 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
