The Human CD137 (4-1BB) Simplex ProcartaPlex™ Kit measures CD137 (4-1BB) protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantify multiple targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample.

기술 원리

Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Matched antibody pairs identify each protein of interest. Each bead is coated with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are detected with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody is conjugated to a bead rather than adsorbed to a microplate well, enabling free-floating reagents for more efficient multiplexing.
Detection is performed using dual-laser Luminex instruments—one laser identifies bead spectral signatures, and another quantifies RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.
