Target Information
Aipl1은 Leber 선천성 흑암증(LCA)과 관련된 단백질로, 광수용체의 비정상적 발달로 인한 상염색체 열성 질환에서 처음 확인되었습니다.
이 단백질은 HSP90 매개 핵 내 이동 및 aryl hydrocarbon receptor의 전사활성화에 관여하는 ARA9과 높은 상동성을 가지는 tetratricopeptide repeat 단백질입니다.
Aipl1은 Hsp90 및 Hsp70과 상호작용하는 샤페론 복합체의 일부로 기능하며, 세포 주기 조절 인자인 NUB1과도 결합합니다.
Aipl1은 Hsp70과 협력하여 NUB1 소체 형성을 억제하며, 이러한 상호작용은 정상적인 광수용체 성숙에 필수적입니다.
LCA를 유발하는 돌연변이는 이러한 샤페론 상호작용을 손상시킬 수 있습니다. 최소 세 가지 Aipl1 이소폼이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
