Target Information
Nuclear receptor TLX (NR2 family, hepatocyte NF4-like receptor) is involved in anterior brain differentiation, retinal development, and vision. TLX regulates genes such as RAR beta2 and Pax2 during retinal development.
Homozygous TLX mutant mice exhibit reduced forebrain development and aggressive behavior. TLX expression is observed in mouse brain and eye, with ESTs identified from normal human brain libraries.
