Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified Trypsinogen (Bovine Pancreas). Cross-reactivity against Trypsinogen from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.

Target Information

This gene belongs to the trypsin family of serine proteases and encodes anionic trypsinogen. It is part of a cluster of trypsinogen genes located within the T cell receptor beta locus.
Enzymes of this family cleave peptide bonds that follow lysine or arginine residues. This protein is found at high levels in pancreatic juice and its upregulation is characteristic of pancreatitis.
It has been found to activate pro-urokinase in ovarian tumors, suggesting a role in tumor invasion. Additionally, it can cleave type II collagen in rheumatoid arthritis synovitis tissue, potentially contributing to cartilage matrix degradation.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
