Target Information
HOPX is an atypical homeodomain protein that does not bind DNA and is required to modulate cardiac growth and development. It interacts with SRF to regulate SRF-dependent cardiac-specific gene expression. HOPX may act as a tumor suppressor and its overexpression can cause cardiac hypertrophy.
