Invitrogen™ ProcartaPlex™ Human Antibody Isotyping Panel, 7plex

The ProcartaPlex Human Antibody Isotyping Panel 7plex enables determination of antibody heavy chain subclasses by analyzing seven protein targets using Luminex xMAP technology. Antibody isotyping is a critical tool in hybridoma development. Simultaneous detection of these targets helps researchers analyze immunoglobulin isotypes during and after hybridoma development and assess immune responses.

This panel is provided in a ready-to-use format with individual vials of capture and detection reagents at 1X concentration, reducing pipetting and setup time. It is not combinable with simplexes or other panels.

ProcartaPlex preconfigured panels are extensively tested for analyte combinability, interference, and cross-reactivity to ensure high validation and precision. All panels include necessary reagents to perform the assay.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple protein targets simultaneously via a Luminex instrument.

Technology Overview

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single 25–50 μL sample from plasma, serum, or cell culture supernatants.

Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create unique spectral signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Matched antibody pairs identify proteins of interest, with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE) used for detection.

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to a bead and not adsorbed to a microplate well, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution. The Luminex instrument uses two lasers—one for bead identification and one for RPE fluorescence quantitation—enabling multiplex profiling with less sample volume and time.
