Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and contactin family, mediating cell surface interactions during nervous system development. It is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored neuronal membrane protein functioning as a cell adhesion molecule and may play a role in axon connection formation during development. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
