Sarcalumenin은 근소포체 내막에 존재하는 160 kDa 산성 칼슘 결합 당단백질로, 칼슘 의존적으로 작용합니다.
이 단백질을 암호화하는 유전자는 53 kDa 스플라이스 변이체도 생성하며, 두 단백질 모두 근소포체의 종방향 부위와 종말 시스테르나의 비접합막에서 발견됩니다.
이들은 칼슘-ATPase와 공위치를 이루며, 칼슘 수송 및 저장에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
