Product Specific Information

  • For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve approximately 1 mg/mL antibody concentration.
  • For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

L1CAM (CD171) is an axonal glycoprotein in the immunoglobulin superfamily. It consists of multiple immunoglobulin-like and fibronectin type III domains linked to a cytoplasmic domain via a transmembrane region. L1CAM is crucial in nervous system development, including neuronal migration and differentiation. Mutations in L1CAM are associated with X-linked neurological syndromes collectively known as CRASH (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia, and hydrocephalus). Alternative splicing of a neuron-specific exon may have functional significance.
