Target Information
SGMS1는 phosphatidylcholine(PC)과 ceramide를 sphingomyelin(SM)과 diacylglycerol(DAG)로 전환하거나 역반응을 수행하는 이중 방향성 lipid cholinephosphotransferase입니다. 반응 방향은 DAG와 ceramide의 상대 농도에 따라 달라집니다. 기질의 choline head group을 직접적으로 인식하며, 효율적인 인식을 위해 choline-P donor 분자의 두 개의 지방 사슬이 필요합니다. 반드시 sphingomyelin synthase로만 기능하지 않을 수 있으며, 세균성 PC-phospholipase C 억제제 D609에 의해 억제됩니다. 주로 골지체(Golgi apparatus) 및 다중 통과막 단백질로 존재하며, 뇌, 심장, 신장, 간, 근육, 위 등에서 발현될 가능성이 있습니다.
