Target Information
CPEB4는 mRNA 3'-UTR 내의 cytoplasmic polyadenylation element (CPE, 5'-UUUUUAU-3')에 결합하는 서열 특이적 RNA 결합 단백질입니다. RNA 결합 시 Venus fly trap과 유사한 구조적 변화를 일으키며, 간의 ER 스트레스 적응 과정에서 CPE-조절 mRNA의 번역을 유지하여 UPR 활성화를 조절합니다. 세포 주기 진행(특히 세포질 분열과 염색체 분리)에 필수적이며, PLAT 번역을 양성 조절하여 종양 성장과 진행을 촉진하는 온코진 역할을 합니다. 또한 멜라닌세포 증식을 자극하지만, CPEB1 및 CPEB3와 달리 시냅스 가소성, 학습 및 기억에는 관여하지 않습니다.
