Target Information
Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 alpha (MIP-3α), also known as CCL20, is expressed in the liver, lungs, lymph nodes, and peripheral blood lymphocytes.
MIP-3α is upregulated by inflammatory signals and downregulated by the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10.
It signals through the G protein-coupled receptor CCR6, acting as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes and dendritic cells.
