Product Specific Information

  • For IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes before staining.

Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein located in the chromatin of eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it forms nucleosomes, the fundamental units of chromatin structure.
Histones are crucial in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of histone H3 undergoes various post-translational modifications—such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation—that influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
