PKMYT1 serine/threonine kinase는 신경 특이적 zinc finger DNA 결합 단백질 계열에 속하며, 중추신경계의 proteolipid 단백질 프로모터 영역에 결합하여 신경계 발달에 관여합니다.
MYT1은 oligodendrocyte 계통에서 발현되며, 관련된 CCHC zinc finger와 함께 포유류 중추신경계의 발달 중인 뉴런에서 발현됩니다.
재조합 PKMYT1 단편(상류 2개 zinc finger 또는 하류 4개 zinc finger 포함)은 PLP1 프로모터의 동일한 조절 요소에 결합하며, DNA 결합에는 Zn²⁺가 필요합니다.
