Target Information
STIM1 (stromal interacting molecule; also known as GOK)는 소포체 내 칼슘 고갈을 감지하여 세포막의 Orai1 채널에 신호를 전달하는 역할을 합니다. 루멘 내 칼슘 농도가 감소하면 STIM1은 올리고머를 형성하고 Orai1을 유도하여 세포 외부의 칼슘이 세포질로 유입되도록 합니다. STIM1-Orai1 상호작용의 정확한 기전은 아직 완전히 밝혀지지 않았으며, STIM1의 기능적 분포에 대해서도 추가 연구가 필요합니다. 또한 STIM1은 미세소관의 성장 말단과 결합하여 소포체 관 확장에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
