Target Information
Interleukin-31 (IL-31)은 최근 발견된 T 세포 사이토카인으로, IL-6 계열 사이토카인과 유사하며 T helper type 2 세포에서 주로 생성됩니다. IL-31은 IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor로 구성된 이합체 수용체 복합체의 리간드 유도성 올리고머화를 통해 작용합니다. IL-31 결합 시 JAK/STAT 및 AKT 신호 경로가 활성화됩니다. IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor의 RNA는 활성화된 단핵구에서 유도되며, 상피 세포에서는 항상적으로 발현됩니다. IL-31이 과발현된 생쥐에서는 가려움증, 탈모, 피부 병변이 나타나며, 인간에서도 아토피 피부염과 연관되어 있어 항가려움증 약물 개발의 새로운 표적이 될 수 있습니다.
