Target Information
RbAp46 (RBBP7) is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein belonging to a conserved subfamily of WD-repeat proteins. It binds directly to retinoblastoma protein, regulating cell proliferation. RbAp46 is a component of histone deacetylase complexes, including the mSin3 co-repressor complex, and participates in chromatin assembly. It can interact with the BRCA1 tumor-suppressor gene and may play a role in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation.
