Target Information
SATB2는 핵 내 매트릭스 또는 스캐폴드 결합 영역(MARs)에 DNA를 결합하는 단백질로, 이중 가닥 DNA의 당-인산 골격 구조를 인식합니다.
SATB2는 전사 인자로서 핵 유전자 발현을 조절하며, DNA의 매트릭스 결합 영역에 결합하여 국소적인 염색질 루프 리모델링을 유도합니다. 또한 HDACs와 HATs와 같은 크로마틴 리모델링 효소를 프로모터 및 인핸서에 직접 모집하여 억제 또는 활성화 역할을 수행합니다.
SATB2는 상층 뉴런(UL1) 특이적 유전자 프로그램의 개시 및 하층 뉴런(DL) 및 UL2 특이 유전자의 비활성화에 필요하며, BCL11B 발현 조절을 통해 피질 간 연결 형성에 중요한 역할을 합니다. SATB2 유전자 변이는 구개열(CPI)과 관련이 있습니다.
