The ProcartaPlex Human Cell Death Panel 4plex enables cancer research by analyzing four protein targets involved in cell death using Luminex xMAP technology.
This assay supports studies on various regulated cell death types such as apoptosis, necroptosis, pyroptosis, parthanatos, autophagy, ferroptosis, netosis, and immunogenic cell death—highlighting the importance of cell death resistance as a hallmark of cancer.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate all protein targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.
These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and yield analyzed results in just four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single sample.
MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are dyed with red and infrared fluorophores to create spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).

Similar to a sandwich ELISA, each bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein. Bound proteins are identified with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike ELISA, the capture antibody in a ProcartaPlex assay is conjugated to a magnetic bead, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution for enhanced multiplexing efficiency.
