Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)는 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간암이나 기형종과 연관되어 나타날 수 있습니다. 또한 병리적 증상 없이 유전적으로 AFP가 지속되는 경우도 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형으로 간주되며, AFP와 알부민 유전자는 염색체 4상에서 동일한 전사 방향으로 배열되어 있습니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며 구리, 니켈, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 수치는 신경관 결손(이분척추, 무뇌증) 선별검사에 사용됩니다. 혈청 AFP 농도 상승은 간세포암(HCC), 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포종양 환자에서 관찰됩니다.
