Gibco™ StemPro™ Human Adipose-Derived Stem Cell Kit
Human adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) are isolated from human lipoaspirate tissue and cryopreserved from primary cultures. ADSCs have phenotypic and functional characteristics very similar to those of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
Before cryopreservation, the ADSCs are expanded for one passage in MesenPRO RS™ Medium, a reduced-serum (2%) medium that improves MSC expansion compared to conventional serum-supplemented media.
The StemPro™ Human Adipose-Derived Stem Cell Kit contains cryopreserved normal human ADSCs and MesenPRO RS™ Medium. Together, these components ensure optimal ADSC growth and expansion. Each lot of ADSCs originates from a single donor of human lipoaspirate tissue.
Each vial of ADSCs contains cells that can differentiate into multiple mature cell phenotypes in vitro, including:
- Adipocytes
- Osteoblasts
- Chondrocytes
ADSCs can be expanded to 4–5 passages before they lose their ability to grow or differentiate into all potential phenotypes.
The ADSCs express the following flow cytometry cell-surface protein profile:
Positive: CD29, CD44, CD73, CD90, CD105, CD166
Negative: CD14, CD31, CD45, Lin1

Formulated for the growth and expansion of mesenchymal stem cells.
