Target Information
Putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein. PcG proteins form multiprotein complexes required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of homeotic genes throughout development. They maintain, but do not initiate, repression and likely act via histone methylation, resulting in heritable chromatin changes. CLNS1A is involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by ligand-bound nuclear hormone receptors such as PPARG, acting as a coactivator and enhancing adipocyte differentiation-inducing activity through recruitment of acetylated and methylated histone H3.
