This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to avoid contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened for optimal production.

This antibody has specificity for Human RRM2B/p53R2.

Target Information

The p53 tumor-suppressor gene integrates signals controlling cell life and death. Several molecules involved in p53 signaling, including p53R2, Chk2, p53AIP1, Noxa, PIDD, and PID/MTA2, have been discovered.
p53R2 is a p53-inducible gene containing a p53 binding sequence and encodes a subunit of ribonucleotide reductase. It is induced by UV and gamma irradiation that cause DNA damage and is directly involved in the p53 checkpoint for DNA repair.
The p73 isoform also induces p53R2 expression. Thus, p53R2 is an important target of p53 for tumor suppression.
