Target Information
Pleiotrophin (PTN) is an 18 kDa secreted heparin and chondroitin-binding protein that functions as a regulatory cytokine critical to early development of blood vessels and neurons. Elevated PTN serum levels are associated with various solid tumors, and patients with multiple myeloma also exhibit increased serum PTN. Expression of this protein is limited in normal adult tissues.
