This antibody detects endogenous levels of total DDHD2.
Target Information
DDHD2 (also known as KIAA0725p) belongs to the intracellular phospholipase A1 (PLA1) protein family. These enzymes hydrolyze the sn-1 ester bond of phospholipids, producing 2-acyl-lysophospholipids and fatty acids.
DDHD2 preferentially acts on phosphatidic acid and is involved in membrane trafficking from the Golgi apparatus to the plasma membrane.
The DDHD2 gene maps to chromosome 8p11.23 and encodes a 711-amino-acid protein (~81 kDa). Immunoblot analysis has shown two bands at approximately 90 and 85 kDa.
