This peptide corresponds to 14 amino acids near the amino terminus of human TL1A.
PEP-0134 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20015.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. It is abundantly expressed in endothelial cells but not in B or T cells. Expression is inducible by TNF and IL-1 alpha.
This cytokine acts as a ligand for receptors TNFRSF25 and TNFRSF21/DR6, activating NF-kappaB and MAP kinases, and functions as an autocrine factor inducing apoptosis in endothelial cells. It also inhibits endothelial cell proliferation, potentially serving as an angiogenesis inhibitor.
An additional isoform from an alternatively spliced transcript variant has been reported, though its sequence is undetermined.
